Global Faith Series Graphics

on 1-20-2008 in Church, Video

The video crew absolutely kicked butt this weekend. We had to create (or re-purpose) 5 videos, plus run 15 different sermon point graphics, plus who knows how many scripture slides. Everything ran super smoothly and I felt the message had an amazing impact because of the effort put into creating all of these elements. Robert’s message was heavy, and the videos really touched an emotional nerve in the church. (I’ll link to the message here once it’s up)

I had a lot of fun creating the design for the series since I knew what it was going to be about ahead of time (which is unusual). I was still working hard to get all the points inserted into the design starting at 3:00 when Robert’s notes came in, and my poor MacPro was struggling to get things rendered in time. In fact I had to export the project from After Effects to my Macbook so I could render out some stills to have as backups. We ended up having to use stills for 5 of the graphics on Saturday night, but everything was rendered and ready this morning for the 9:15 service. I’m planning on setting up the After Effects Render Engine on the 4 other computers in the video office area so I can have all of them helping to render in the future. Anyone else have experience setting this up? Anyways, here is how some of the graphics turned out:
